“She mentions living under a constant threat of violence as being important in a trans woman’s story (and as always, it is pretty much trans women we’re talking about here). That’s a constant in every woman’s real life story, everywhere. If we could have no women in books without mentioning that, what the hell kind of stunted literature would we have? Again, we see the transitioner as special snowflake – no cissie could ever experience the pain they feel. It’s called “being regarded as part of the sex class” with an extra helping of disgust when you don’t pass because you are trying to be those degraded beings, women, in the first place.”
